Meeting of the Research Committee on Standardization of Civil and Urban Infrastructure Activities

According to the social group of Borna News Agency, at this meeting, approved research titles for 1396, such as the operational guide for instrumentation and behavioral analysis of urban and structural tunnels affected by them in Tehran, increasing the efficiency of ventilation in traffic tunnels, the compilation of a design, modeling, and implementation guide for prestressed concrete bridges, and the compilation of an executive procedure for repair and maintenance, seismic improvement, and overall assessment of Tehran Municipality buildings were discussed and reviewed.
The members of the Research Committee for the Standardization of Construction Activities, while emphasizing the importance of prioritizing research titles and the necessity of adding new plans and titles, further requested the operationalization of some essential projects, such as the compilation of technical and executive instructions for the use of asphalt chips in road construction projects, as well as the repair and maintenance of asphalt pavements in Tehran.
The presentation of the topic and the explanation of the regulations and the research committee, the structure and duties of the committee, and the introduction of the members of this institution were among the other programs of the mentioned meeting.
It is worth mentioning that recently, by order of the Mayor of Tehran, Engineer Iraj Moezi was appointed as the head of the Research Committee for the Management of Standardization of Construction Activities and Urban Infrastructure.
Seyed Mohammad Ali Afshani, the Mayor of Tehran, in this order, stating that the research system structure of the municipality has been formed in order to increase the role of the headquarters and executive deputies in policy-making, organizing, and planning research activities and guiding these types of activities, with regard to the needs of urban management in order to make the plans and projects of Tehran Municipality knowledge-based, expressed hope that the duties of the Research Committee for the Management of Standardization of Construction Activities and Urban Infrastructure will be carried out appropriately with the presence of Engineer Moezi and based on the research regulations of Tehran Municipality.
