Lorestan's Governor stated: This year, a research budget of seven billion Rials was allocated to this province.
According to Borna News Agency; Seyed Mousa Khademi, on the sidelines of his visit to the Research and Technology Exhibition of Lorestan University, stated in a gathering of reporters: The latest research achievements of the province have been displayed in this exhibition, and good studies have been conducted by universities and research centers.
He added: These research projects are from universities, research centers, and executive bodies that have the potential for commercialization and application.
Lorestan's Governor stated: A volume of science and research produced in universities is not converted into practical work and trade, and there is a need for more interaction between universities and industries and executive bodies.
He stated that these exhibitions introduce industrialists to the latest research achievements in order to solve problems.
Khademi, pointing out that the research budget is low, said: The national research budget exists, and previously, each institution allocated one percent of its budget to research, which was between 30 to 40 million Rials, and there was not much possibility of conducting research.
He added: Accordingly, all the credits were collected and summarized in the form of a research budget of seven billion Rials to be allocated to several important research projects and to have a good output.
Lorestan's Governor, stating that we are facing problems in the field of commercialization, continued: Research in universities should be converted into the trade of goods, in which we are lagging behind, and there is a gap between the high percentage of these researches being converted into work and activity.
The Governor said: Holding exhibitions, science and technology parks, and elite units play a role in the commercialization of scientific research.
