Enhancement of Lorestan University's Laboratory Infrastructure/ Resumption of Services for Two Key Instruments
Feb 17, 2026
The Head of the Central Laboratory of Lorestan University stated: "In order to improve the level of laboratory services and support research and technological activities, the tensile-compression testing machine and the contact angle measurement device of the Central Laboratory of Lorestan University, after specialized repairs, technical service, and calibration, have returned to the service cycle and are ready to provide services to researchers."
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, Dr. Ehsan Roumiani, in an interview with our reporter, explained: "The tensile-compression testing machine, as one of the key equipment for mechanical tests, enables tensile, compression, and evaluation of the mechanical properties of materials, and plays an important role in advancing research related to materials engineering, civil engineering, mechanics, industrial engineering, and other technical and engineering fields."
Dr. Roumiani explained: "The contact angle measurement device is an important tool in examining the surface properties of materials, wettability, surface energy, and solid-liquid surface behavior, and is widely used in research related to nanotechnology, coatings, polymers, chemical engineering, and applied sciences."
He continued: "The return of these equipment to the operational cycle has enabled the reuse of faculty members, graduate students, and researchers from scientific and industrial centers of the province and the country from the specialized services of the Central Laboratory of Lorestan University, and facilitates the implementation of research projects, theses, and applied projects."
The Head of the Central Laboratory of Lorestan University, emphasizing the importance of maintenance, updating, and regular calibration of laboratory equipment, announced: "Programs to upgrade laboratory infrastructure in order to increase the accuracy of tests and improve the quality of services will continue seriously."
It is worth mentioning that the Central Laboratory of Lorestan University operates under the supervision of the Vice President for Research and Technology of the University.
