Introduction to the Laboratory
The Central Laboratory of Lorestan University was established in the spring of 2013 under the supervision of the Vice President for Research with the aim of organizing and optimizing the use of advanced laboratory equipment, providing easy and equal access to laboratory facilities, and facilitating the exchange of information between researchers inside and outside the university. Currently, the Central Laboratory of Lorestan University, with its definitive membership in the Iranian Scientific Laboratories Network (SHAA) and the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network, as well as being a collaborating laboratory of the Standard Administration, caters to the needs of university researchers, governmental and private companies, organizations, and industries.
The Central Laboratory is divided into two laboratories: Laboratory No. 1 and Laboratory No. 2. The main site of the laboratory, under the name of Laboratory No. 1, is located at Lorestan University, next to the Faculty of Basic Sciences. Due to the distance of the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources from the main university site, and for the convenience of the researchers of this faculty, Central Laboratory No. 2 was opened in the winter of 2016 in this faculty. Most of the equipment available in this laboratory is related to tests in the field of agriculture and natural resources. In addition, a number of laboratories in the faculties that can share their services cooperate with the Central Laboratory under the title of collaborating laboratories.
